INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
XPERT PAINT PROTECTION FILM INSTALLATION
1. PRE-INSTALLATION PREPARATION

Thoroughly clean the vehicle surface using a high pH detergent solution to eliminate contaminants such as oil, dirt, grease, bugs, and road film.

Clean the surrounding areas of the application site to prevent contamination during installation.
-
Use high-pressure washing or pressurized air to remove dirt from seams and openings around headlights, grilles, and fog lights.
-
Employ a cleaning clay bar or auto scrub to remove any remaining paint defects.
-
Degrease the car with isopropyl alcohol and wipe dry.
-
Wipe the edges of the application area with pure isopropyl alcohol and lint-free wipes to ensure cleanliness and enhance surface contact with the film.
2. TOOLS AND SOLUTIONS
-
The XPERT Tool Kit consists of all essential items required for successful installation.
-
Utilize distilled or purified water for installation to prevent mineral contamination.
-
Use neutral soap without additives for cleaning, adjusting the soap concentration based on the product being installed (XPERT High Gloss or XPERT Deep Matte).
-
Prepare an alcohol solution with a recommended proportion of water to alcohol for optimal adhesion without compromising the adhesive on the film.
3. INSTALLATION ENVIRONMENT
-
XPERT recommends that all PPF is installed in a dust-free environment.
-
Ensure installation occurs within the temperature range of 60°F to 90°F (15°C to 32°C) to maintain film flexibility and adhesive effectiveness.
-
Avoid direct sunlight and external contamination during installation.
-
Adjust installation procedures based on outside temperature conditions to optimize adhesion and drying.
4. INSTALLATION PROCESS
-
Follow specific recommendations for each car area to avoid overstretching the film and ensure proper adhesion.
-
Ensure precise alignment and installation of the film without excessive stretching to prevent lift-off and edge imperfections.
-
Use appropriate techniques and solutions to align, stretch, and secure the film without causing damage or imperfections.
5. INSTALLATION TECHNIQUES
-
Use Gloves or maintain wet hands to prevent fingerprints on the adhesive surface.
-
Employ suitable methods to remove dirt and contamination from under the film without damaging the adhesive.
-
Address issues such as water bubbles and edge lifting with appropriate solutions and techniques.
6. FILM REMOVAL
-
Safely remove the film at a 45-degree angle towards yourself without excessive force to prevent damage to the car's surface.
-
Do NOT remove the film at over a 90-degree angle and do NOT try to rip the film off the car surface, this may transfer the adhesive onto the car paint.
7. MAINTENANCE
-
Wait for the film to fully cure before washing the vehicle, and refrain from using pressure washers that may potentially damage the film.
-
XPERT Recommends that the vehicle is hand washed with soap and water, avoiding abrasive cleaners.
-
Apply non-abrasive wax to XPERT High Gloss PPF at least twice a year to preserve its pristine appearance.
-
Employ bug and tar-removing shampoos for stubborn stains and consider applying our Hydrophobic Ceramic coating for enhanced protection.
-
Address any discoloration using mild abrasive wax or polishing compound as needed, ensuring minimal frequency to prevent damage to the film's topcoat.
XPERT WINDOW FILM INSTALLATION
1. PRE-INSTALLATION PREPARATION
-
Ensure all necessary tools and materials are gathered before installation, including the window film, XPERT Cut Software, a computer or tablet, a heat gun, a squeegee, a spray bottle filled with a soap and water solution, and lint-free cloths.
-
Clean the car windows thoroughly with a glass cleaner to remove any dirt, oil, or residue.
2. XPERT CUT SOFTWARE
-
Access the XPERT Cut Software on your computer or tablet and input the make and model of the vehicle for ready-to-use dimensions, if your make and model are not available in the software input the dimensions of the windows.
-
Utilize the software to generate precise cutting templates for the window films based on the dimesnions provided.
3. WET APPLICATION
-
Mist the outside of the window with the soap and water solution to create a wet surface for easy maneuvering of the film.
-
Peel the protective backing off the window film, exposing the adhesive side.
-
Generously spray the adhesive side of the film with soap and water solution to prevent it from sticking prematurely.
-
Load the window film onto a clean, flat surface and secure it in place.
-
Use the cutting templates generated by the XPERT Cut Software to accurately cut the film to the correct size using a sharp razor blade.
4. POSITIONING AND APPLICATION
-
Carefully position the precut film onto the wet window, ensuring proper alignment with the edges and corners.
-
Once the film is securely adhered to the window, use the razor blade to trim any excess film along the edges, following the contour of the window frame.
-
Use the squeegee to press the film onto the glass, starting from the center and working outward to remove any air bubbles or wrinkles.
-
Continue to squeegee the film to ensure a tight seal and smooth finish, paying special attention to the corners and edges.
-
If necessary, utilize the XPERT Cut Software to adjust the cutting template for any minor adjustments during installation.
5. HEATING AND SMOOTHING
-
Use the heat gun to gently heat the film, which helps activate the adhesive and allows for easier manipulation and smoothing.
-
Continue to use the squeegee to ensure a tight seal and smooth finish, paying special attention to the corners and edges.
-
Carefully inspect the window for any remaining air bubbles, wrinkles, or imperfections, using the heat gun and squeegee to address any issues.
6. FINAL INSPECTION AND CURE TIME
-
Allow the window film to cure for at least 48 hours before rolling down the windows or cleaning them to ensure proper adhesion and longevity.
-
Carefully inspect the window for any remaining air bubbles, wrinkles, or imperfections, making adjustments as needed.
-
XPERT recommends that the vehicle be reinspected a week after installation to ensure all imperfections have been taken care of for maximum longevity.
7. POST-INSTALLATION CARE
-
After the curing period, clean the windows with a mild soap and water solution to remove any residue from the installation process.
-
Avoid using abrasive cleaners or rough materials on the window film, as this can cause scratches or damage.
-
Regularly Maintain the window film. by cleaning it with a soft cloth and gentle cleaner to preserve its appearance and functionality over time.
XPERT HYDROPHOBIC CERAMIC COATING APPLICATION
1. PRE-APPLICATION PREPARATION
-
Ensure the vehicle is thoroughly cleaned and free of any dirt, debris, or contaminants. Use a pH-neutral car shampoo and a microfiber wash mitt to wash the vehicle.
-
Dry the vehicle completely using a clean microfiber drying towel to prevent water spots from forming.
-
Park the vehicle in a dust-free environment in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight to avoid premature drying of the coating during application.
2. SURFACE DECONTAMINATION
-
Use a clay bar or clay mitt along with a clay lubricant to remove any embedded contaminants, such as tar, tree sap, or industrial fallout, from the surface of the paint.
-
Work in small sections, gently gliding the clay bar or mitt across the surface until it feels smooth to the touch.
3. PAINT CORRECTION (OPTIONAL)
-
If there are any visible swirl marks, scratches, or imperfections on the paint surface, consider performing paint surface, consider performing paint correction using a dual-action polisher and appropriate polishing compounds.

Correcting the paint will ensure a smooth and flawless surface for the ceramic coating to bond to, enhancing the overall appearance of the vehicle.
4. SURFACE PREPARATION

Wipe down the entire vehicle surface with a paint prep or surface cleaner to remove any residual oils, polish residue, or contaminants that may hinder the bonding of the ceramic coating.

Use lint-free microfiber towels for this step to avoid leaving behind lint or fibers on the paint surface.
5. APPLICATION OF CERAMIC COATING
-
Shake the ceramic coating bottle well to ensure proper mixing of the product.
-
Apply a small amount of ceramic coating onto an applicator pad or microfiber cloth.
-
Work on one panel at a time, starting with the hood or roof and then moving to the side panels, doors, and finally the trunk or rear hatch.
-
Apply the coating in overlapping, linear motions, ensuring even coverage and avoiding drips or streaks.
-
Use a cross-hatch pattern (horizontal and vertical) to ensure full coverage and uniform application.
-
Allow the coating to flash or haze for the recommended time specified by the manufacturer, typically 1-3 minutes depending on ambient conditions.
6. BUFFING AND LEVELING
-
Once the coating has flashed, use a clean, dry microfiber towel to gently buff and level the applied coating.
-
Work in small sections, using light pressure and overlapping strokes to ensure a uniform finish.
-
Check for any high spots or excess coating residue and remove them promptly to avoid streaking or uneven curing.
7. CURING AND PROTECTION
-
Allow the ceramic coating to cure for the recommended time specified by the manufacturer, typically 24-48 hours under ambient conditions.
-
During the curing period, avoid exposing the vehicle to water, rain, or other environmental contaminants.
-
After the curing period, the ceramic coating will provide long-lasting protection against UV rays, oxidation, water spots, and chemical contaminants.
8. POST-APPLICATION CARE
-
After the curing period, maintain the ceramic-coated surface by washing it regularly with a pH-neutral car shampoo and drying it with a clean microfiber towel.

Avoid using abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, and automatic car washes with abrasive brushes, as they may degrade the coating over time.
-
Periodically inspect the coated surface for signs of wear or contamination and perform any necessary maintenance or touch-ups as needed.
